House panel hearing complaints against Acting CJ Karki today

KATHMANDU, June 15: A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) of the Federal Parliament is hearing the complaints filed against Acting Chief Justice (CJ) Hari Krishna Karki from today.

KATHMANDU, June 15: A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) of the Federal Parliament is hearing the complaints filed against Acting Chief Justice (CJ) Hari Krishna Karki from today. 



The PHC has called Karki, who is recommended for CJ of Supreme Court, at 8 am today for the hearing.

Senior-most member of the PHC Pashupati SJB Rana said that 29 different complaints have been received against Acting CJ Karki. The PHC had discussed the complaints with the complainants on Wednesday.


Karki, who has been serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for a long time, was recommended as the Chief Justice by the meeting of the Constitutional Council on May 8.
