KATHMANDU, March 19: Nepali Congress (NC), the major opposition party, has demanded the immediate resignation of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane amid allegations of his involvement in a cooperative fraud.
During the House of Representatives (HoR) session today, NC lawmaker Deepak Pandey asserted that Lamichhane’s appointment as the Home Minister compromises the integrity of investigations into the fraud case.

Pandey accused Lamichhane of assuming office despite ongoing investigations by Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) into his alleged role in fraudulent activities.
