BHOJPUR, April 24: After 17 years, Chandra Bahadur Tamang, an absconding defendant in a case of homicide, was arrested by police in Dharan on Tuesday.
Tamang, 60, was arrested on the charges of murdering Dawa Sherpa of Bhojpur in 2063 BS.

The District Court Bhojpur had issued an arrest warrant against Tamang in August 2023. According to Sudip Raj Pathak, Chief of the District Police Office Bhojpur, Tamang was arrested on April 23, 2024 during a targeted police operation.
The police made Tamang’s arrest public today.
