DAO of Dolakha urges people living along the Tamakoshi River bank and Nepal-China border area to stay alert as the river has been blocked by a landslide



KATHMANDU, June 19: Heavy rain at Rongxia city of Tingri Country in Nepal-China border point has triggered fears of fresh landslide and flash blood in Tamakoshi River, according to the District Administration office of Dolakha.

Issuing a press statement on Friday night, DAO of Dolakha said that the landslide after a heavy rain at Rongxia city of Tingri Country in Nepal-China border point has blocked the flow of river and it is likely to witness a flash flood in Tamakoshi River at any time.


The DAO has also urged people living along the Tamakoshi River bank and Nepal-China border area to stay alert and move to higher grounds.


Landslides and flood kill hundreds in Nepal every year during monsoon.
