KATHMANDU, May 30: The rape case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is going to be heard in the bench of Judge Shankar Bahadur Rai.



Earlier, the bench of Justice Phanindra Parajuli was scheduled to conduct the final hearing. At that time, a legal practitioner from Lamichhane was ordered by the court to resubmit the date of birth evidence submitted in the dispute about the victim's age.

On January 11, 2023, Lamichhane was released conditionally by the Patan High Court on a bond of Rs 2 million. Earlier, the Kathmandu District Court had ordered to send him to prison for preliminary investigation.


Lamichhane was arrested on October 6 by the police on charge of raping a minor.
