The ministry sought the clarification from the college mentioning that the incident was against the Article 35(1) of the constitution which states that none of the citizens will be deprived of basic emergency health services.

Likewise, the ministry has cited that the health service is an essential service and there should not be any strike and protest in the sector.

The ministry has also questioned why the registration of the medical college should not be scrapped?

The ministry has formed a three-member committee to investigate the incident under the coordination of Dr Bhola Ram Shrestha. The other members of the committee are Dr Dhundi Raj Poudel and under-secretary of the ministry Bhavanath Khatiwada. The committee has been asked to submit its report within three days.
