HBL, IFC to help women entrepreneurs

KATHMANDU, April 16: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) and International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, have signed an agreement wherein IFC would be providing financial resources to provide financial access to 'Banking on Women Program'.

A mandate letter to this extent was signed by HBL CEO Ashoke SJB Rana and IFC Country Head for Nepal M Rehan Rashid, according to a statement issued by HBL. "The arrangement shall facilitate women entrepreneurs to establish/run micro, small and medium scale enterprises," the bank added in the statement.
