Reimbursements refer to the money that development partners transfer to the government coffers after the spending is made in any project or programs that they have financed.  The annual report of the Financial Comptroller General Office shows that the government authorities did not receive reimbursement of Rs 22 billion in the last fiscal year alone.

Amid delay in obtaining funds for the expenses made on various projects financed by donor agencies, the Prime Minister’s Office has also expressed its concern over the issue.

Meanwhile, the MoF has issued an 11-point directive for the government agencies concerned to expedite the process to recover the due amount.
