Govt to make arrangements for Nepalis living abroad to vote in periodic elections

KATHMANDU, May 19: The government has announced that it will resolve the citizenship issue immediately.



This was announced in the policies and programs for the fiscal year 2023/24 presented by President Ram Chandra Paudel on Friday.

The government is going to make arrangements to allow Nepalese citizens abroad to vote in periodic elections.


The security agencies will be empowered by using modern technology to control all types of criminal activities including terrorism and organized crime, money laundering, violence, cyber-crime, illegal drug trafficking, said Poudel.


Similarly, the government is going to operate existing prisons and build new prisons in the next five years so as not to overcrowd the prisons.
