Govt to construct shelters at storm-hit districts

KATHMANDU, April 4: Government has decided to construct the houses of the victims at storm hit Bara and Parsa districts.

KATHMANDU, April 4: Government has decided to construct the houses of the victims at storm hit Bara and Parsa districts. The cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening has decided to hand over the responsibility to Nepal Army.

According to Communication and Information Technology Minister Gokul Baskota, the modality of the houses would be the same as People's Housing Program.


For the project, the government has formed a committee under the coordination of chief secretary of Province 2 and the CDOs’ of Bara and Parsa and representatives from Ministries of Urban Development and Defense will be the members of the committee, according to government spokesperson Baskota.
