Govt provide Rs 400,000 each to Nepali national football players on winning Three Nations Cup

KATHMANDU, April 2: The government had decided to provide Rs 400 thousand each to winners of the Three Nations Cup Football Championship which was concluded in Kathmandu earlier this week.

KATHMANDU, April 2: The government had decided to provide Rs 400 thousand each to winners of the Three Nations Cup Football Championship which was concluded in Kathmandu earlier this week.



A cabinet meeting held on Friday morning made a decision to this effect, according to Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.

Nepal won the title of Three Nations Cup Football by defeating Bangladesh 2-1 in the final match held at Dashrath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Monday. Sanjog Rai and Bishal Rai scored two goals for Nepal. Nepal had won the title in its home ground after 37 years.


Nepal received 5,000 US dollars with the title. Earlier, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) announced to provide Rs 100 thousand each to the Nepali players.
