BIRATNAGAR, Jan 14: Nepali Congress central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that the government should become serious to not allow the situation of the country to deteriorate further.

Speaking at a gathering held at Koirala Niwas today in connection with the canvassing for the National Assembly elections from State no.1, he emphasized that the government should work to make the parliamentary system acceptable to all. "The government should wipe out fears that it is going against federalism and must be sensitive to normalize the situation," he said.


Central Member Koirala said notwithstanding the result of the NA election, the NC should become move ahead with unity. From State no. 1, NC has fielded Mina Pulami Magar,65, of Dharan Sub-metropolis-1 and Nir Bahadur Biswakarma,39, of Phidim municipality-1 in women and Dalit category, and Rajendra Ghimire,58, of Bhadrapur municipality-8 in the open category.
