KATHMANDU, May 29: The government is scheduled to unveil the budget of fiscal year 2078/79 B.S at 4 PM on Saturday.
As the federal parliament has been dissolved, the government is introducing the budget through an ordinance.

According to officials at the Ministry of Finance, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has included some election-centered programs in the budget. Poudel has also increased social security allowance at the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The budget is expected to be in tune of Rs 1500 billion to 1600 billion, according to officials at the Finance Ministry.
