KATHMANDU, July 31: The government has collected revenue worth Rs 26.46 billion in the first two weeks of the current fiscal year.
Amid existing perplexity on how to implement the budget with the government being indecisive on whether to give continuity to the ordinance-based budget enforced by the erstwhile KP Oli-led government, the authorities have been following the budgetary processes as guided by the same budget.

According to the Financial Comptroller General Office, the collected revenue makes out 2.3 percent of the estimated revenue amount of Rs 1.15 trillion. Of the collected amount, the government has generated Rs 25.78 billion in tax while Rs 674.80 million has been collected under non-tax headings.
Likewise, the government has spent Rs 1.43 billion in recurrent expenditure and Rs 231.50 million in development projects in a 15-day period of the commencement of the new fiscal year.
