KATHMANDU, May 19: The government has adopted a policy of evicting the squatters living on the river banks.

KATHMANDU, May 19: The government has adopted a policy of evicting the squatters living on the river banks.



In the policy and programs for the fiscal year 2023/24 presented by President Ram Chandra Paudel on Friday, it is mentioned that landless and riverside squatters will be managed.

There is a program to clear encroached land by transferring the real poor and landless people along the banks of the river in Kathmandu valley to suitable places.
