KATHMANDU, Oct 17: On the third day of Dashain, Chandraghanta, the third form of Goddess Durga is being worshiped across the country today.
As the auspicious festival of Dashain unfolds, devotees come together to worship the third form of Goddess Durga, Chandraghanta. The Navadurga, a sequence of nine divine forms, is venerated from the day of Ghatasthapana until Nawami.

The worship of Chandraghanta Bhagwati involves placing Panchapallava in a water-filled Kalash, an act of devotion to Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati as embodiments of infinite Shakti. Chandraghanta, one of the nine goddesses, is renowned for holding a bell shaped like the moon, from which her name, Chandraghanta, derives. This form of worship during Navratri is believed to bestow extraordinary strength and power upon the devotees.
From the commencement of Dashain, temples throughout the country have been bustling with devotees, who gather from early morning to partake in the celebrations and offerings.
