BAJURA, Sept 3: A girl was killed and another one injured when lightning hit them on Saturday night at Kordha of Badimalika Municipality-6 in Bajura district.
The incident took place while both of them were asleep in their house, said the police. The deceased has been identified as Pratikshya Rawal, 12, said Inspector Dan Singh Bhandari. The deceased's nine-year-old sister Rojita who was injured in the incident is receiving treatment at the District Hospital in Martadi.

Pratikshya died on the spot. A buffalo, its calf and an ox were also killed after being struck by lightning, said Bhandari.
