KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Eight parties and fronts have staged a protest outside the federal parliament building against the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement. The protest started from Maitighar and ended after surrounding the parliament building. Security has also been tightened in the Naya Baneshwor area due to the protest.

As many as eight political parties including National People’s front, CPN (Revolutionary Maoists), Communist Party of Nepal, CPN (Marxist-Leninist) among others have staged the joint protest against MCC.
