KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Friends Club registered the first win by defeating Machhindra Club 3-0 in the ongoing Martyr Memorial A-Division League at the Satdobato-based ANFA Complex today.

The Friends Club led the match with a goal from Fofana Brahiman in the 66th minute. Sanjog Maharjan added another goal to the credit of the Club in the 84th minute. The decisive goal was scored by Anil Maharjan in the injury time, leading to the Club's win.
The Club's Captain Asim Bhusal was announced the man of the match. With this win, the Club is placed in the ninth place with four points. In previous matches, the Friends Club lost three matches and played a draw match.
