Four members of a family jump into river, one rescued

DOTI, July 22: A mother who apparently jumped into river along with her three children in Doti district has been missing since the last four days. However, one of her sons has been rescued by a local fisherman.

DOTI, July 22: A mother who apparently jumped into river along with her three children in Doti district has been missing since the last four days. However, one of her sons has been rescued by a local fisherman.



Dhaulidevi Bohara, 28, of Adarsha Rural Municipality-4 had jumped into Seti River with her daughter Radhika, 12, sons Surendra, 8, and Sunil, 6, according to the District Police Office, Doti.

They reportedly jumped 100 meters from the suspension bridge which connects Dhungad of Baitadi with Talara of Doti. Surendra was rescued by Man Bahadur BK of Adarsha -5 who was fishing in the river.


Police have started investigation into the incident. The reason behind family jumping into the river is yet to be ascertained. Police have called Dhaulidevi's husband Bam Bahadur Bohara and the rescued child Surendra to the police station for enquiry.
