Former Lumbini Province minister Yadav arrested for banking offense

KATHMANDU, July 17: Bijay Bahadur Yadav, a former minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Lumbini Province, has been arrested by the police for alleged banking offenses. The District Police Office, Banke, said that Yadav was arrested on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, July 17: Bijay Bahadur Yadav, a former minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Lumbini Province, has been arrested by the police for alleged banking offenses. The District Police Office, Banke, said that Yadav was arrested on Sunday.

A banking offense case was filed against Yadav at the District Court, Rupandehi. It is said that he had given a check worth Rs 1.2 million to Uma Shankar Yadav of Siyari Rural Municipality-1 of Rupandehi. But a case of banking offense was filed against Bijay Bahadur Yadav when Uma Shanka Yadav went to deposit the check to the bank and the check bounced due to insufficient balance.
