Formation of National Parks Federation

BUTWAL, May 22: The first national conference of parks across the country held in Butwal has formed the National Parks Federation. Under the leadership of the Federation, the presidents of the two organizations, the organizers of the national conference, have been elected as the president and general secretary, respectively.

BUTWAL, May 22: The first national conference of parks across the country held in Butwal has formed the National Parks Federation. Under the leadership of the Federation, the presidents of the two organizations, the organizers of the national conference, have been elected as the president and general secretary, respectively.



Khemprasad Luitel, president of Manimukunda Sen Park in Butwal, the organizer, and Bel Prasad Sharma, president of Shankarnagar Ban Bihar and Research Center, another organizer, were unanimously elected as general secretary.

The conference, which was organized for the first time in Nepal, elected Raghunath Khulal (Makwanpur) and Meena Shrestha (Rupandehi) as the vice presidents of the federation. Laxmi Prasad Khanal (Sunsari) and Sunita Sharma (Palpa) were elected as the secretary and the members were Bishnumaya Acharya, Tanka Baral, Amar Bahadur Karki, Himalkumar Shrestha, Dilkumar Giri, Harikala Kumal, Shanta Khanal and Hem Bahadur Bam have been selected.


Anant Silwal, member secretary of the conference, said that 150 gardens from around 40 districts from all seven provinces were represented in the conference. This conference was organized on 21st  and 22nd of May in Butwal.
