FNJ denounces attack on journalist Bhattarai

KALIKOT, Oct 7: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Kalikot chapter has condemned the attack on a journalist Arjun Prasad Bhattarai.

KALIKOT, Oct 7: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Kalikot chapter has condemned the attack on a journalist Arjun Prasad Bhattarai. 



A statement issued today by President of the FNJ Kalikot branch Tularam Pandey also demanded treatment for the injured, and action against the assailants. A clash ensued over a dispute and a group of three youths attacked Bhattarai while playing a carrom in the district headquarters Manma on Friday evening, the police said.

Similarly, various organizations related to the press have demanded action against the attackers. 


Bhattarai, a central council member of the FNJ and Chairperson of the Press Centre Kalikot, who sustained head injuries, has been referred to Kohalpur Medical College, the family said. A search has been launched for the assailants, the police said. (RSS)
