Flood enters  Kanchanpur settlement

KATHMANDU, August 3: The flooded Chaudhar River has entered the Sarkiparki village of Bedkot Municipality-4 in Kanchanpur.

KATHMANDU, August 3: The flooded Chaudhar River has entered the Sarkiparki village of Bedkot Municipality-4 in Kanchanpur.



The whole settlement is at risk due to floods. Locals are looking for safe shelters. The Armed Police Force and locals are now involved in the rescue. Locals said that last night Chaudhar's flood swept away a section of the road and entered the settlement. Chief Amar Bahadur Air of the local Armed Police Force unit informed Republica that the families who are at high risk have been moved to a safe place.

According to Air, the buildings of local Kirsan Bhul, Harish Bhul, Ragi Bhul, Visna Bhul, Madan Bhul, Utwe Bhul, Dani Bhul, Thesa Bhul, Virma Bhul, Leather Processing Center and Gyan Jyoti Child Development Center are at risk due to flood. Armed police and local residents are engaged in the construction of a temporary shelter.
