KATHMANDU, Sept 29: The World Health Organization (WHO) has maintained that the COVID-19 testing will soon be available at a cost of five dollars.



The new equipment being launched soon in the market is expected to come handy for the nations with fewer health workers and laboratories.

According to the WHO, the new technology will help poor countries to trace and test COVID-19 at a rapid pace. With the introduction of this new technology, WHO has claimed that more than 120 million people will undergo COVID-19 test within a period of six months.


The WHO Director General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the new equipment developed for COVID-19 testing is portable and provides test results within 15 to 20 minutes.
