MAHENDRANAGAR, April 19: A fire that broke out in Dodhara Chandani Municipality in Kanchanpur district on Thursday destroyed the wheat crop grown in seven bighas of land.
Spokesperson for Dodhara Chandani Municipality, Om Basnet, said that the fire was caused by fallen electric cables on the trees in the wheat field.

He said the wheat grown on the fields belonging to 15 farmers was gutted to cinders.
Likewise, separate incidents of fire in Joshipur and Bhajani in Kailai district destroyed the wheat crop, police confirmed.
