BAITADI: Two persons died in a landslide triggered by a canal break at Naugadha Rural Municipality-4 in Baitadi district late Sunday evening. According to police, the deceased have been identified as Chandra Singh Mahata, 25, and his four-year-old son Sushant.
The landslide was triggered after a canal broke at around 12.

During the incident, Mahata’s wife Chanamati was critically injured. She is receiving treatment at Gokuleshwor Hospital.
Three other houses were also buried by the landslide. The authorities are yet to come out with information on the damage caused by the rain.
