KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Former King Gyanendra Shah has reached Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office, to attend the wedding reception of President Bidhya Bhandari’s daughter on Monday.

President Bhandari’s younger daughter, Nisha Kusum Bhandari and grandson of former
President Ram Baran Yadav, Abhishesh Yadav, are tying the nuptial knot today.
“His Majesty has been invited to the wedding,” Phani Raj Pathak, Personal Secretary to former King Gyanendra, told Republica Online, “He will leave for Sheetal Niwas at 12:05pm.”
The former Queen Komal Shah,however, won’t accompany the former King.
Probably, this is the first time that the former King will be meeting the Head of the State after the abolition of monarchy.
Nisha is a doctor by profession, while Abhishesh is an engineer.
