EPL cricket title goes to Panchakanya

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Panchakanya Tez defeated Colours X-factors by 40 runs to clinch the maiden title of Everest Premier League (EPL) Twenty20 cricket tournament.

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Panchakanya Tez defeated Colours X-factors by 40 runs to clinch the maiden title of Everest Premier League (EPL) Twenty20 cricket tournament. 



In the final match held at TU cricket ground in Kirtipur today, Panchakaya had posted a total of 171 runs at the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, after winning the toss. Asif Sheikh remained not out with 111 runs in 64 balls to take his team to a handsome total.

In reply, Colours could muster only 131 runs after losing all wickets in 17.3 overs. Captain Gyanendra Malla top-scored with 47 runs. 


Karan KC of Panchakanya took three wickets while Sushil Kandel and captain Sharad Bheswakar took one wicket each to ensure a win for their team. 


Along with the win, Panchakanya Tez took home the match trophy also including a cash prize of Rs. 500,000. RSS
