Karnali, Nov 3: The Election Commission (EC) has delivered the ballot papers to Jumla by helicopter for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly elections on November 20. The Commission has delivered the ballot papers to Jumla from Surkhet through a helicopter of the Nepali Army. Battalion Commander Rabin Thapa of Nepali Army Nandabox Battalion said that the army helicopter carried ballot papers to Jumla two times today.
According to Thapa, the ballot papers had to be brought to Jumla by helicopter as it was not possible to transport it easily through the Karnali Highway. "Even though the ballot papers were brought from Kathmandu to Surkhet in a vehicle, work is being done to transport them by helicopter," Thapa said.

Bishnu Prasad Gautam, judge of the District Court Jumla and Chief Election Officer said that 151,000 proportional ballot papers arrived in Jumla today from Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province, in coordination with the Election Commission.
According to him, 77,000 ballot papers for the HoR and 74,000 ballot papers for the provincial assembly elections have arrived safely in Jumla. In total, 76,000 ballot papers for direct elections have been demanded - 41,000 for the provincial assembly (a) and 36,000 for the provincial assembly (b). He said that the ballot papers will be brought directly from Surkhet to Jumla by helicopter today.
Election Officer Mahesh Sharma of District Election Office, Jumla, said that there are 68,638 voters in Jumla for the elections to be held on November 20.
