EC passes electoral calendar for November 20 polls

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: The Election Commission (EC) has approved the calendar of election activities under the first-past-the-post system of the November 20 federal and provincial poll.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: The Election Commission (EC) has approved the calendar of election activities under the first-past-the-post system of the November 20 federal and provincial poll. 



As per the calendar, the candidacy nomination registration and the publication of the nomination list will take place on October 9 and the submission of the complaints against candidates on October 10.

Similarly, a decision over nomination letters and complaints will be taken on October 10 and 11. 


The publication of the name-list of candidates will occur on October 11 and the candidacy withdrawal on October 12. Publication of the final name-list of candidates and the awarding of election symbols to them will take place accordingly, said the EC's Joint Spokesperson Surya Prasad Aryal in a statement on Thursday.
