Earthquake resilient building for school

SOLUKHUMBU, MARCH 19: Two new earthquake resilient buildings were constructed at Junbesi Secondary School. The buildings were built with support from Harutaka Sakaiko, a Japanese national. The school's buildings were destroyed during the earthquake of 2015.

SOLUKHUMBU, MARCH 19: Two new earthquake resilient buildings were constructed at Junbesi Secondary School. The buildings were built with support from Harutaka Sakaiko, a Japanese national. The school's buildings were destroyed during the earthquake of 2015.

Until the new buildings were constructed, students were forced to take classes at temporary classes. According to Sakaiko, the building was built along with the support of Kyoto University students and Principal.


Japan's university provided Rs. 8.2 million while another four million rupees was collected from supporters to construct the buildings. With this the students would be well facilitated said Chungwa Chiri Lama, Principal of Junbesi Secondary School.
