KATHMANDU, Sep 4: The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has announced the appointment of Dr Umesh Dahal as the new Director General of the Department of Livestock Services. Dahal, previously serving as the head of the Nepal Livestock Center Innovation Project, will assume his new role.
Dr Dahal has a distinguished background, having previously worked at the National Vaccine Research Laboratory in Tripureshwor.

Additionally, Dr Samjhana Kumari Kafle Pandey, who currently holds the position of Director General of the department, has been transferred to a new role at the ministry.
