After one and half year of the disaster, 66 families in Giranchaur were finally able to move into their new residences on Friday.
Dhurmus - Suntali Foundation, led by comedian duo Kunjana Ghimire (Suntali) and Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus), had constructed the houses. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari ahd handed over 66 houses and a community building to the families.
On the behalf of the community Ram Bahadur Tamang, president of Integrated-community Management Committee of Giranchaur ahd received the keys of the houses.

The settlement is spread in 35 ropanis of land is build in accordance with urban concept. Every house in the community has all basic facilities. It is environment friendly, earthquake and landslides resistant. It is powered by solar power. One could move around, go in houses, in a wheelchair.
There is arrangement of three children park, four gardens, eight public taps, four toilets, playground, waiting room and parking lot.
