Addressing various programs organized in Rukum West on Saturday, he pointed out the need for the support of the local people of the development project site. “The government alone cannot develop without the support, participation and contribution of the people at the site,” Sharma said. “Locals should be active for development works. The government will only assist in that."

Expressing dissatisfaction over the exorbitant price hike by the locals when the government is trying to acquire land for any development project, Minister Sharma asked, “How will development take place?” He said that it would not be possible to do the work until the price of land is fixed.
