DAO warns of legal action against people not following safety protocols

KATHMANDU, August 3: The District Administration Office (DAO) of Kathmandu has urged the people not to take part in or organize large gatherings, stating that it is the responsibility of everyone to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

KATHMANDU, August 3: The District Administration Office (DAO) of Kathmandu has urged the people not to take part in or organize large gatherings, stating that it is the responsibility of everyone to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.



According to the DAO, hospitals in the city have started to run out of ventilators, ICU beds and beds for emergency services. The DAO made the announcement today, citing the risk of a third wave of COVID-19 as infection cases have started to increase in recent days.

The office has urged people not to participate in large gatherings such as various kinds of meetings, programs, protests, etc.


In addition, the DAO has also warned to take legal action against anyone who does not follow the safety protocols and disregards the prohibitory order.
