KATHMANDU, April 13: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has removed the election poster with the picture of Nepal Electricity Authority Managing Director Kulman Ghising from the social networking site Facebook.

On Wednesday morning, Dahal posted an election poster with a picture of himself, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma and Ghising on social media. The poster was criticized for using the image of Ghising, who is a government employee. According to the Election Code of Conduct 2022, government employees are not allowed to join any political party or stand for or against any candidate.

Managing Director Ghising had also instructed Dahal’s personal secretariat to remove his picture from the poster, complaining that it was used without asking him. "I am upset about this. I have asked them to remove the poster," Ghising said.

The election poster that has Ghising’s image also has a slogan 'From darkness to light'.
