BIRATNAGAR, April 10: The district administration has lifted the curfew clamped in five municipalities including Harinagar Rural Municipality and Dewanganj Rural Municipality of Sunsari.

Chief District Officer of Sunsari Jayanarayan Acharya said that even though the curfew has been lifted, gatherings and processions are still prohibited in these areas.

The curfew was initially imposed last Friday evening following a violent clash between two groups. Despite both parties agreeing to reconcile during an all-party meeting held on Saturday, the curfew was reinstated after demonstrations resumed.
