Curfew and Prohibition order lifted completely in Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ, Oct 10: The District Administration Office, Banke, has fully lifted the curfew and prohibition order in the Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan area.

NEPALGUNJ, Oct 10: The District Administration Office, Banke, has fully lifted the curfew and prohibition order in the Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan area.



Assistant Chief District Officer of Banke, Topendra Bahadur KC, informed Republica that the curfew and prohibition order imposed in the Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan area has been completely lifted as of 4 AM on Tuesday.

Following conflicts between two communities in Nepalgunj, the local administration had imposed a curfew on October 3 at 1 PM. Subsequently, the administration transitioned to a prohibitory order after the situation returned to normal.


The administration expressed its gratitude to the general public, religious leaders, political parties, people's representatives, civil society, and security personnel for their patience and dedication in maintaining peace and security during the curfew and prohibition period.
