CPN (Unified Socialist) Palpa Chairman Pandey passes away

KATHMANDU, July 8: District Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Palpa, Khimanand Pandey (Kamal) has passed away.

KATHMANDU, July 8: District Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Palpa, Khimanand Pandey (Kamal) has passed away.



Pandey died while on the way to Lumbini Medical College for treatment from his house in Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-1 Pipley. According to family sources, the 52-year-old Pandey was taken to Lumbini Medical College for treatment after he suffered a heart attack at 6:15 pm on Friday. He was declared dead by the hospital at 6:45 pm.

Pandey became a candidate for the post of Vice-Chairman in Bagnaskali Rural Municipality in the local level elections held last year. Pandey's funeral is being held at Ramdighat on Kaligandaki river on Saturday morning.


Deceased Pandey is survived by his two sons and a wife. Pandey's 26-year-old elder son also died from a heart attack last year.
