Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had called the meeting earlier than it was originally scheduled. Party insiders said there was a preparation to call the CWC meeting after a few days.

Leaders close to Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction said they are not participating in the CWC meeting scheduled for today. The Nepal-led faction has said that they would not participate in the meeting until the unilateral decision taken by Chairman Oli to induct former Maoist leaders as the UML’s CWC member is withdrawn.
