COVID-19 Updates : 2,607 new infections, 2,141 recoveries reported in Nepal on Thursday

KATHMANDU, June 17: Nepal on Thursday reported a total of 2,607 cases of the coronavirus disease. Of the cases confirmed, 1,768 were detected through RT-PCR tests while 839 others through antigen tests, according to the health ministry. Labs across the country carried out 12,484 tests, including both PCR and antigen.

With this, Nepal’s corona infection tally  has reached 640,040, of which 545,663 people reported recovery from the disease. Similarly, Nepal’s recovery rate stands at 88.6 percent while the fatality rate is recorded at 1.6 percent with 2,141 recoveries recorded on Thursday.


 


A total of 8,597 people have so far succumbed to the deadly disease.
