KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Shyam Aryal, a non-gazetted officer of Patan District Court, was caught red-handed while taking bribe from a murder-accused individual. The officer had promised the accused of settling the case.
Acting on a tip off that Aryal was demanding bribe from the murder accused, a team from the CIAA had reached Satdobato-based Salesberry Departmental Store. Aryal was receiving Rs 300,000 from the accused when the CIAA team raided Bajeko Sekuwa at the first floor of the departmental store.
