KATHMANDU, July 2: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma and his delegation that are on an official visit to the United States of America, visited the UN headquarters on Friday.
According to the Public Relations Directorate of Nepal Army, Sharma met with high-ranking UN officials at the UN headquarters and discussed issues of mutual interest and reciprocity, as well as various aspects of the UN peace mission.

He met with Birame Diop, Military Adviser at the Office of Military Affairs, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Atul Khare, Under Secretary General of the Department of Operations Assistance, and Rosemary DiCarlo, Under Secretary General of Political and Peace building Affairs.
CoAS Sharma made an observation visit to the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon and Syria from June 18 to June 24 and flew to the USA on June 27.
