KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Civil society activists on Sunday staged a symbolic protest in front of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) office against the construction of concrete structures in the historical pond of Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu.
The activists performed rituals to drive away ‘the ghosts that are destroying’ the heritages.

On the occasion, they also chanted slogans against the ‘atrocities’ being carried out on the locals in Balaju in the course of road expansion.
