Civil servants’ salaries raised by 15 percent

KATHMANDU, May 29: The existing salaries of the civil servants have been increased by 15 percent, according to the budget statement for the coming Fiscal Year 2022/23 presented by Finance Minister Janardan Sharma in the House of Representatives today.

KATHMANDU, May 29: The existing salaries of the civil servants have been increased by 15 percent, according to the budget statement for the coming Fiscal Year 2022/23 presented by Finance Minister Janardan Sharma in the House of Representatives today.  



The salaries of army, police, teachers and other civil servants have been increased by maintaining the existing dearness allowance to keep the service price high. The new salaries will be applicable from mid-July.

The budget also states that the Federal Civil Service Act will be enacted, administrative expenses will be reduced, administrative restructuring will be done, good governance and service effectiveness will be increased.
