CID actor Dinesh Phadnis no more

KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Actor Dinesh Phadnis, popular for playing the role of Fredericks in one of television’s most popular show CID, died on Tuesday at the age of 57.

KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Actor Dinesh Phadnis, popular for playing the role of Fredericks in one of television’s most popular show CID, died on Tuesday at the age of 57.



According to the reports of the Indian news media, Phadnis breathed his last at 12:08AM. He was receiving treatment at Mumbai’s Tunga Hospital.

According to the report by the Indian express, “Dinesh died of multiple organ failure. There were a lot of complications and he was removed from ventilator last night. The actor’s funeral will take place in Mumbai at 10:30 AM.”


Earlier, it was reported that Dinesh suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday, following which he was admitted to the hospital. Later, it was confirmed that it was not cardiac arrest but liver damage.


Apart from working as an Inspector in CID series, he also appeared in the Bollywood film Sarfarosh and Super 30.
