KATHMANDU, Dec 27: A meeting of the Central Security Committee was held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.



Teknarayan Pandey, Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, informed Republica that security arrangements for the National Assembly elections were discussed at the meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singha Durbar.

"The meeting of the security committee discussed ensuring security for the National Assembly elections," said Home Secretary Pandey. The meeting focused on election security.


The upper house election is being held on January 26 to elect 19 members.
