Kunwar said the child marriage brings problems in women's life and deprives them of educational opportunities. He added that Haat VDC would be declared a model health VDC of the district for which the campaign has been run to end child marriage practices.

"We have prepared a strategy to put up a public notice to make public three generations of those who practice child marriages," Kunwar shared. Despite a legal ban, the child marriages are still a norm in many rural places of Nepal. RSS
