KATHMANDU, June 7: A cabinet meeting held on Wednesday has approved the visit of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah to Belgium.
Mayor Shah is going to participate in the 'Metropolis World Congress and Brussels Urban Summit 2023' program to be held in Brussels, Belgium from June 12 to 15. Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said that the meeting of Council of Ministers sitting today approved his visit.

Lately, the relationship between Mayor Shah and the central government is not good. Mayor Shah has even been boycotting the meeting called by the government. While there are ideological differences with the central government, the government has approved the visit of Mayor Shah.
